Hiking in Nationalpark Thy

Hiking is a pleasant form for exercise, everybody can participate in, both children, youngsters and adults. You set your own pace and decide distances. You are in direct contact with nature with all the experiences in it.

|
Nationalpark Thy offers a lot of hiking paths through dune plantations as well as dune heaths. The paths offer unique experiences and varieties both in length and degree of difficulty.
|
|
At the tourist office in Thy we are enthusiastic about these possibilities, so we have made a Top Ten of our favourites.
Some of these paths natureally lead you through the National Park Thy, but you will also find interesting paths in other parts of Thy.
All hiking trails you will find in brochures from the forest ministry (Skov- og Naturstyrelsen), you can fetch at the tourist offices. Most of the brochures you will also be able to find as PDF files beneth every descriptions of paths at the Top Ten list.

Take the dog along with you!
Several places in Thy you will find dogs forests, in which you are allowed to let your dog go without a leach.
You will find dogs forest in Vilsbøl and Østerild Plantations and near Faddersbøl.
