Sailing in Thy
Thy is surrounded by water and therefore sailing in an obvious activity in nearly all holidays
Activities on the waterAll the water that surrounds Thy provides visitors with a variety of activities in and around the water.
Canoe and Kayak On the Limfiord there are several places where you can sail in a canoe or kayak. At Krik Vig Camping you can rent canoes and at Limfjordscentret in Doverodde it is possible to take lessons in sea kayaks.
Harbour life
If you don't like life at sea then you can simply enjoy the very special life at the different harbours around Thy.
In Klitmøller you will find the "Cold Hawaii" of Thy - a surfer´s paradise as here you will find some of the best surfspots of Europe!

Limfjorden Rundt
Every summer around 50 old wooden wessels get together for regatta on the Limfiord. On Wednesday in week 37 the ships arrive in Thisted and it is a magnificent sight when all these vessels arrive in Thisted and are along the quay. During the day it is possible to enter some of the ships. If you are interested in sailing with one of these vessels then pick up a folder at the Tourist Office.

Ferry transportation
Naturally, all the surrounding water also makes it possible to sail with ferries to Thy. You can sail with the small ferries on the Limfiord between Thy and the island Mors or from Agger to Thyborøn.
Try a two way ticket for the small ferries to and from the island Mors, DKK 105,- available at the Tourist Offices.
