Traffic rules for wheelchairs When driven on the pavement, electric wheelchairs may have a maximum speed corresponding to walking pace (approx. 6 km/h). Wheelchairs exceeding this speed are treated as bicycles and must observe the same traffic rules.
- no driving on pavements - use cycle paths where available - if there are no cycle paths, use the carriageway
Rules on the use of lights are also the same as for bicycles.
